Safaris

Guests can visit the world-renowned Kruger National Park, situated a mere 40km from Phelwana Game Lodge, either in their own vehicle or on a guided safari. Spend the day searching for the Big Five and other amazing wildlife. Our guided safari departs the lodge at 05h00. The full day safari returns around 16h30 and the half day safari at approximately 12h30.

This safari takes you into the stunning landscapes of some of Hoedspruit’s most beautiful reserves. Enjoy the backdrop of the Drakensberg mountains as you set out searching for the iconic wildlife who call these wild spaces home. From giraffe and zebra to lion, cheetah, rhinos and elephants, there is so much to see. 

Morning safaris are from 05:30 to 09:00 and afternoon from 15:30-18:30. Each safari includes a complimentary drinks stop. These safaris are best suited to guests with their own transport who can drive themselves to the pick-up point.
